Worth the five and a half hours

Between the outbursts of laughter, the reenactment of a few major movie fights and the blaring of music from our Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, the five and half hour road trip to Waco passed by pretty fast. After arriving at the hotel and a five minute in-and-out wardrobe switch into practice shirt and shorts, we were back on the bus to the baseball field at McLennan CC. The position players took a few rounds of batting practice while the pitchers jogged a few laps and played a few games of our new game “Ninja.” Ninja is a great way to display your athleticism, intellect and drain time on the clock. If there is time, I will either post a video of the pitching staff playing Ninja or I will go into extreme depth to explain the game.

Well, it is off to bed for the MC baseball team. Bellies full of pizza and anything the guys decided to by at the neighboring gas station, we hit the figurative road to Grand Junction, Colorado tomorrow at noon.

Go Chaps!

Looks like the Midland College baseball season opener in Waco against McLennan is going to have to wait until Saturday. Due to projected amounts of rain, the Chaps won’t be hitting the road until tomorrow afternoon.

And so it begins…

I will admit that I get excited about Christmas, the 4th of July and my birthday (which I do consider a holiday), but I have to say my favorite holiday of the year is Opening Day of baseball season. This afternoon, the Midland College baseball team will be loading the bus, driving to Waco, TX to kick off the 2012 season with a 3-game series with McLennan Community College. Every guy on the team has been looking forward to this day since the end of last season, so I can bet that it will be a fun bus ride at the least.

Let’s get started

Hey everybody, my name is Colter Bostick and I am a sophomore, left-handed pitcher for the Midland College Chaparrals baseball team. I am going to be keeping this blog during the Chaparral’s 2012 season to keep everyone updated not only on the game-by-game scores, but anything that goes on in the world of the MC baseball team. College alone is fun, but I will give you a little insight into the world of college baseball players…which is takes fun to a new level. We have a great group of guys on this year’s team and I am extremely excited to get our season underway (ON FEBRUARY 3 and 4 AGAINST MCLENNAN COLLEGE IN WACO, TX!!!!) and I hope you can join along!
